Who are we?
Les Idées d’Époxy is a Quebecois family-owned business specializing in the sale of construction materials. Primarily focused on epoxy applicators, this company also assists painters, general contractors, concrete grinders, and even individuals in obtaining the products and training they need. Started in 2018 as an epoxy applicator, Les Idées d’Époxy became an epoxy store in 2021 with the opening of its first retail location in St-Hyacinthe.
We take pride in having helped over 250 contractors and more than 400 individuals realize their projects since our opening.
Our Story.
Les Idées d’Époxy began as an installation company in 2018. Our president, Nel, had hired an applicator to do his epoxy floor. After a terrible job by the applicator during the concrete installation, Nel decided to take training to do his epoxy himself. Two days of training later, he caught the bug and started his own installation company.
Les Idées d’Époxy quickly stood out for the quality and professionalism of its work. With a growing business volume and products only available in Blainville, we discovered a distributor closer to us in Dunham. Unfortunately, this distributor did not have the financial means to maintain inventory to supply us. Nel therefore partnered with him and started selling products from his garage. Nel operated this way for a few months, with the Dunham store and his garage in Ste-Madeleine as a second retail location.
In March 2021, the partnership with Dunham was terminated and Nel took over the epoxy store completely. Les Idées d’Époxy - Store was born and we closed the installation department. He then decided to partner with his son, Ludovik, to help manage everything. At the same time, we decided to change the epoxy brand available in our stores and partnered with Labsurface, a Quebecois epoxy manufacturer. In May 2021, the first Les Idées d’Époxy store opened its doors in St-Hyacinthe.
The Sherbrooke store started in September 2021 by appointment only and officially opened its doors in May 2022."
